Of course, I woke up sick this morning. :-( Just in time for Mardi Gras weekend. It looks like I'll miss Bunko tonight too -- SUCKS!!!

I have some antibiotics left over from a while back, so I'm going to take those. (I knew I had a viral infection, so I never took the antibiotics given.) It's not like I can just go to the doctor -- no babysitter. I'm wondering if I have strep or bronchitis.

My throat is killing me. I'm achy. I feel terrible. :-(

We are catching the LP parade at the store (corner of 10th and Barataria -- empty lot next to the store actually). Parade starts at noon and the parade passes us twice (once at the beginning / once in the middle). Be in LP before 11A is the best for traffic purposes and from what I understand taking Hwy. 308 (coming through Rita) is better flowing than Hwy. 1. Mom's gonna have a roast and some other foods at the house in between / afterwards whatever (only because of the rain chance, it is usually at the lot). Bring chairs and drinks. Lots of parking, cement ground for the first pass of the parade (Dad will have his truck out as well). Hope to see you guys!

Hope you are feeling better, so you can get out to the Mardi Gras Parades this weekend. Mardi Gras is one thing I want to do sometime. I'm not into the drunk debauchery you often see especially in the French Quarter, but that is certainly one thing I want to do before I die. Which better not be for at least 50 years or so. Hope New Orleans comes back soon.. I really enjoyed the city when we went there back in (when was it 2002?) Did you get to go to Bunco? Kathryn

  3. Opal~ I doubt we're going to the parade tomorrow. Chance of rain is 90%!! I don't want to take Val out, and I'm still sick anyway. Hoping we'll make it to the Sunday parade.

Kathryn ~ Thanks. Everybody should experience Mardi Gras at least once. Nope, I missed Bunco. I felt way to bad to go.
