I just want my baby to be well!! We've had a couple of bad days/nights. If Roni kept down 3-4 oz of formula yesterday that was a lot. Everything she ate during the night came right back up with in 10 minutes. Yesterday she slept and slept and slept. Poor thing was SO listless. I'd wake her to feed her, only to have her vomit it up again and again. We went through every single onesie I have for her -- and that is a BUNCH. She'd scream and make awful faces as if she were hurting. She is so hard to burp and we can't always get that air bubble to come up. I know it's hurting her, along with the reflux. I felt so helpless!!

Our peditrican said to switch to Good Start formula and give her 1/4 tsp of Mylanta every 6 hours. Done! We also decided to only feed her one ounce at a time, break for a burp, wait 10-15 minutes, then feed her a second ounce. No more than 2 oz a feeding. Then a few hours later, repeat. Small frequent feedings are supposed to help. And we have her propped up on the boppy to sleep so she isn't laying flat. So far so good.... she hasn't thrown up or spit up since late yesterday. Keep your fingers crossed... we follow up at the doctor Tuesday for her 2 week check up.

  1. Congratulations on your new little girl. She is beautiful!

I have to say that after all the expensive formulas like Nutramigen, Good Start gave us our happy baby back. It took around a week before her digestive system calmed down but it worked wonders for Makinlee. Best of luck to you!
