Purging...

Still working on my New Year's goal to de-clutter. I spent a couple hours this morning sorting through clothes. GOOD LORD I have about 35 t-shirts. WHO needs that many?? So a bunch of them have got to go. But.. UGH... I have GOT TO DO SOMETHING about all this extra weight. I know it's normal after having babies, but it's so depressing going through old clothes. My fav jeans, fav dress pants, even cute shirts are impossible to even think about wearing. (yes, I'm getting rid of the things that are waaaay too small.) I guess the good news is a few things actually "fit" but not comfortably and some are very close to fitting. (keepers!!LOL!) That's an improvement at least. I just don't know what else to do. On a normal basis, I don't eat bad. We have zero junk food in the house. ZERO. I did South Beach forever and a day, and lost no weight. I KILL myself at the gym 4 mornings a week (or at at least when the kids cooperate.) I'm doing the right things, but the weight is coming off oh so very slowly. UGH. Veronica is about to be 11 months old!! I've been working out faithfully since May/June!! You would think that by now, after all these months, something would have made a difference. So frustrated ....

On another note... WHY do I feel the need to keep things like my prom dress?? It's horribly 80's... mint green, big chest bow and all. But I can't bear the thought of tossing it in the garage sale stuff to sell for pennies. It's priceless to me...

  1. I SO feel you on the weight thing. Lillian just turned 3, and I started FINALLY losing weight last year, but I'm back on the incline again.
    As far as the clutter goes, I have a bag of clothes waiting to go...but it's skinny clothes, and I DREAD the thought of getting rid of them LoL
