And they all asked for you!

Today we went on down to the Audubon Zoo! Earlier in the year I purchased a family four pack of tickets for $25 which were about to expire. Today was sunny (for a change) and one of the only free days we have left this year.

It was a PERFECT day!

My Dad came with us, so I had to buy one ticket since I only had four. A family came up behind us and said they accidentally ordered 2 extra tickets online, so they gave them to us. For free. These weren't even just zoo tickets. They were the $20 Insectarium and IMAX tickets. Wow! They just handed them to us and said "Merry Christmas!"
Then, almost every where we went this is what we saw:

Nobody.

We had such a good day! I love the zoo. The kids had a great time!

Ahhhh, you make me homesick. We lived in Terrytown for ten years, and belonged to the zoo, the aquarium, and the Children's museum. Living right across the river made it really easy to go do something nearly every Saturday morning with the kids. I miss it!!! Now we live in very, very rural North Mississippi, and there's not a zoo, museum, or aquarium for probably 100 miles or so. But hey, the neighbor has emu and goats on her property, and there's a creek about a quarter of a mile down the road they like to wade and play in in the summer. Maybe it's no soooo bad. :)
