The Cat in the Hat

The Cat in the Hat
Imagine That
Oh the trouble he caused
Oh my, oh drat!

To our home from the school
for a single night, not two
The littlest one wanted him
The biggest one withdrew

The crying, the yelling
He brought to our dwelling
Over a stuffed cat in a hat
I've had enough of that

What are they thinking?
What are they drinking?
To send home this delusion
that causes such confusion

Not sure what we learned
I can't wait until he's returned
This furry chaotic creature
must go back to the teacher!

  1. I love the cat in the hat but then I love anything Dr Seuss.
The only good thing about winter is I get to wear my cat in the hat knee socks.
    Silly old man.
Your poem tells the tale very well.
