Farewell '10

So long 2010.... hard to believe another year has passed us by. It was definitely a year of challenges, changes, and uncertainty, in more ways than one. Valerie and Veronica had an exciting year full of milestones. They are just growing up and changing so fast.

I hope to continue my goals from 2010 into 2011. De-cluttering being a main one. I did really well last year and got rid of a lot of useless stuff. If it has a use or will possibly have one later on, keep it. If not... I see no reason to hang onto it. In the past year, I passed on all sorts of things to someone in need of it. Of course we accumulated more stuff to take it's place... but I will gladly give something away to someone who will use it rather than have it sit here doing nothing. We. Really. Need. To. Do. Something. About. The. GARAGE!!!! It is horrible.

My other goal is to continue on with the diet and exercise routine. I have fallen out of the routine these past few months. All the cookies we made did not help!! I plan to go back to eating no dairy (more on that later) and going to the gym on a regular basis. I need to find something new to do on off days from the gym.... On an average day I usually take between 8,000 and 13,000 steps with 7 hours of activity. Not enough to make a difference. Maybe I will try to be closer to the 13k steps every day.... All after New Year's dinner tomorrow, of course.

Now that we have our new upright freezer, I'd also like to do more freezer meals. I did it for a while but with limited freezer space it was an aggravation. I can cook two of something then freeze one for another time. Less time in the kitchen, less worry about what to cook, and more time for the kids! I just need to keep an inventory of what we have in the freezer and update it as I take stuff out.

Wishing you all a happy 20011!! Happy New Year!! Be safe tonight, everyone....
