Happy Magical Birthday!!

Saturday, March 5, 2011

We got up super early so we could be at 8am Magic Kingdom rope drop on this very special day! What better way to celebrate than at Disney World! Happy 4th Birthday Veronica!! Both girls wore their princess dresses (thank you eBay!) We arrived just in time to see the "good morning people," as my kids like to call them. Veronica was given a birthday button, which brought lots of birthday wishes and attention. Rope drop combined with fast pass is really the key! Crowds were predicted to be high, so I made sure we had a plan. Fantasyland was empty that early... almost everything was walk on or a 5 minute wait at the most. I even got the coveted castle picture with NO one in the background!! By lunchtime - wow- it was very, very crowded with hour+ waits all over the park. I refuse to wait unless we absolutely have no other choice.

I made birthday lunch reservations at Crystal Palace since I knew we would be in MK this day. The girls loved the character interaction. The food did not seem as good as I remembered though. I didn't find there was much of a selection. They did put Mickey confetti on our table, and Veronica was brought a cupcake so we could sing happy birthday to her!

We went back to the condo to rest for a few hours and cut Veronica's real birthday cake. Then it was back to MK for the night parade and fireworks. Again, we got there super early to claim our spot for the parade!! We LOVED the Electrical Parade! So pretty.... We went back to ticketing to watch the fireworks from a distance since both girls do not like the loud BOOM. When we got back to the condo, it was very late, and Valerie was not feeling well. I think the non-stop events of two days caught up with her.
