Spring time...

Spring is here but not for long!  Soon temps will be pushing 90+ and it will feel like summer again.  I've been trying to catch up on some yard work and clearing out the flowerbeds.  I pulled a muscle in my back pulling weeds a few weeks ago, so that has slowed me down a lot.  I'm moving slowly but little by little it's getting there.

I re-did my pallet flowerpots from several years ago.  Many of the pots had cracked and fallen.  I picked up various $1 pots at Walmart and Dollar Tree to re-do them.  They were so easy to make and add a little bit of color to our dead backyard.  Now to wait for my flowers to grow in them...

Weed pulling in the front is going slowly, but Clint grabbed a bunch of $1 clearance plants at Lowe's yesterday.  Every year around this time, Lowe's puts a ridiculous amount of plants on clearance and there's nothing wrong with them at all.  Pretty much my entire flowerbed is made up of clearance stuff.  Sometimes they make it, sometimes they don't.  We still need some mulch, and there are plenty of weeds to deal with, but it'll get there little by little.

I was late but I hung my spring wreath on our door today.  I made it last year with mostly things from....   the Dollar Tree again.  I think I see a pattern here....   lol

The weather has been perfect the past few days and even the kitty cats are enjoying being outside.

We also have lots of spring visitors.  Several humming birds are around all the time.  They tease the cats, who are all much too slow to even think about catching one.

On the other hand...  the many lizards around don't stand a chance.  At least some of them fight back, as seen in the white tuft of Gizmo's fur in this little guy's mouth.  Ha Ha!!
