A while back, Red Rose Alley asked about pictures of my Mom's rose petal rosary. It's made of real rose petals. The petals are crushed and mixed with clay the molded to form beads. This one is heavily scented with rose oil. It's probably 25 years old and it still has a strong rose scent. My Mom and I had saw them for sale somewhere and they were crazy expensive. I bought this one for my Mom online shortly after for her birthday or Mother's Day? From eBay perhaps? I also want to say it used to be a dark rosy-pink. I could be wrong, but it seems the beads have faded over the years. It hasn't left the box, so I'm not sure why it would have faded.
Oh, this Rosary is just beautiful. Thank you for showing pictures of it. So lovely that it is made from real rose petals and scented with rose oil. What a treasure this is for your Mom. I love saying The Rosary, and it's such a peaceful and sweet time for me. Thanks for mentioning me also, and what a blessing it was to see your Mother's Rosary today. : )

It's a very beautiful rosary. Your mom is blessed to have it.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Mel!. My mom used to volunteer making rosaries with seeds that were planted in her garden. Those rosaries were then shipped to missionaries in other parts of the world.
ReplyDeleteOh very interesting darling
